Fatcat LEFT HANDED "Double Whammy" Bridge 42mm deep block

Fatcat LEFT HANDED "Double Whammy" Bridge 42mm deep block

This is a model of tremolo that mounts normally on a vintage stratocaster but converts to a narrower Gibson like spacing to help where a narrow neck means the strings are prone to slipping off the edge of the neck.

When we made our '54 retro vibrato we were really pleased with it's sound and performance, but we were aware that many older strats end up with a neck that is so skinny that the outer E strings are at risk of falling off the edge of the neck ..

So we kept the classic construction with the cold rolled steel block, CR4 top plate and our fabulous stainless steel arm, but we chose to use the wonderful Highwood Contoured saddles to finish the whole thing off

Note that the mounting holes are spaced  the vintage 11.2mm apart (56mm between centres of outer holes) so they will drop directly onto the older USA spec guitars and any that conform to that pattern.

The  string spacing however is a comfy 10.5mm between string centres giving an E to e spacing of 52.5mm.

Let us know if you wish to have a white or black tip on the tremolo bar
